Hazelnut Milk Cacao Hot Cocoa

Let me paint a picture for you... Santa Baby is playing faintly in the background, snowflakes are falling delicately from the sky and you are snuggled up under your favorite blanket! How cozy right?!? What could possibly make this situation any better, you guessed it!... Hazelnut Milk Cacao Hot Cocoa!

Hot Cocoa is always the cherry on top of a perfect cozy winter day! I have really elevated this nostalgic treat and made it everyones new and improved fave! The combo of the hazelnut and Cacao is reminiscent of Nutella! So delicious!

Why the Cacao you ask? First of all it is super chocolatey and delicious! And the benefits are a huge bonus too! Cacao powder is filled with antioxidants, calcium filled, its a natural mood booster, and full of magnesium! What more could you want? Oh, right... Marshmallows on top! And you can have a guilt free second cup since the cacao is so beneficial!

Hazelnut Milk Cacao Hot Cocoa-

Yields: 2 Cups

1 Cup Hazelnuts (Soaked Overnight)
4 Cups Filtered Water
1 date

2 Tablespoons Cacao Powder
1 Tablespoon Pure Maple Syrup
Marshmallows

Soak your hazelnuts overnight. Rinse hazelnuts. Blend hazelnuts, filtered water, and date until smooth and milky. Strain milk using a nut milk bag. Here you have delicious Hazelnut Milk that you can drink as is. Or continue on to make the Hot Cocoa! Add Cacao powder and maple syrup (the syrup is optional depending on how sweet you want it). Blend again. Heat on stove top. Pour into mug. Top with marshmallows!

Enjoy!
