Gingerbread Rice Cereal Treats

Do ooey gooey melted marshmallows bring anyone else back to childhood? That mixed with the smell of melted butter gives me deja vu of a cozy Sunday afternoon helping my mom make rice krispy treats while listening to that song "Strawberry Wine"! Anyone remember that song? No? Look it up! It's super catchy! These special memories were the inspiration for this recipe!

I wanted to put a fun twist on this classic treat so I added Wild Friends Gingerbread Peanut Butter to this recipe. It is so delicious!! You know that Cookie Butter from Trader Joes? It tastes kinda like that but better and it has waaaaaay better ingredients! I mean what more could we ask for?

Gingerbread Rice Cereal Treats-

4 Cups Mini Marshmallows
4 Cups Crisp Rice Cereal
1/2 Cup Wild Friends Gingerbread Peanut Butter
3 Tablespoons Butter

Spray a 13x9 inch baking dish with cooking spray. Melt butter in a large pot over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir continuously until melted. Be patient and leave the heat on low! Once the marshmallows are melted turn the heat off. Stir in Gingerbread Peanut Butter. Stir in Crisp Rice Cereal. Carefully transfer to greased baking dish. Smooth out in dish. Let sit until set up. You can put them in the freezer if you are impatient like me!

  1. Awww, this sounds so delish. But I can't eat peanut butter. Does this brand make an almond or cashew nut butter with flavors? Then I could make this recipe.
