Rosé White and Blue Punch

It's that time of year... BBQ's, fireworks, pool parties, and Rosé Punch! I'm all for the summer festivities as long as there is fun cocktail involved. And this one is perfection! Did you ever soak fruit in vodka when you were like 21 (ok maybe I was 19)? This reminds me of a chic version of that. Like 10000000000 x's more chic but I did have a bit of a flash back.

Rosé White and Blue Punch-

1 bottle of Rosé
1/2 cup Chambord Liqueur
1/4 cup Fresh squeezed lemon juice
1 cup club soda
1 cup blueberries

This recipe is so simple! All you do it put all of the all of the ingredients in a giant punch and let people serve it up! So fun for a little patio party! Set out some cute glasses and straws and let people go to town! If you really want to get crazy you can have some Rosé ice cubes on the side for people to toss in!

Happy Fourth!

Coconut Collagen Macaroons

I have taken collagen sporadically before but never on a consistent basis. Now that I am doing a 60 day collagen challenge I have been getting tons of questions! The most common question that I get is how do you get over the awful taste? I put two scoops of Vital Proteins brand collagen in my coffee in the morning and cant taste it at all! But if you babes are struggling I am here to help!

I decided to get a little sneaky and put collagen in something you would never expect! Thats right cookies! But don't worry... there is no guilt associated with these cookies! I get very sneaky when it comes to eating. I mask flavors that I don't like all of the time. And these cookies are the sneakiest little treat to date!

Coconut Collagen Macaroons-

2 mashed bananas
1 egg
1 cups shredded coconut
2 scoops of collagen
1/4 cup coconut flour
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 tablespoon pure maple syrup

Pre heat oven to 350 degrees. Mash two bananas in a bowl. Mix in all other ingredients. The batter will seem wet but its fine, trust me! Scoop batter onto a cookie sheet covered in coconut oil spray. Bake for 13 minutes. This recipe makes about 14 cookies.

If you are feeling extra sassy then add in some chocolate chips! Enjoy!

P.S- I cant wait to report back on this 60 day challenge! All the deets on collagen benefits coming soon!

Skinny Sparkling Basil Lemonade

Who doesn't love an ice cold lemonade on a hot day? Now that the sun is shining I am craving this sweet treat! Of course I made a few modifications so that I don't end up with a sugar high after two sips!

Like all of my recipes, I like to keep it simple and right to the point but with a fun twist! Insert basil here! I'm not a huge sweet fan and the addition of this basil adds a little savory twist to this fun indulgence!

Skinny Sparkling Basil Lemonade

1 juiced lemon
2 basil leaves (chopped)
1 teaspoon organic pure maple syrup
1 Pure Lacroix
 Lots of Ice

Add ice to the glass and pour all other ingredients over the ice. Stir and top with a cute straw! Enjoy!

Go to Trader Joe's Beauty Products

Just like everyone else my obsession with Trader Joe's runs deep! I mean everything there is just so fun and convenient! Who doesn't pick up riced cauliflower and jar of cookie butter every time they go there! Haha!

One thing that I absolutely love at Trader Joe's is there beauty section... yes, their beauty section. There are so many hidden gems in this area and I feel like people really over look it! I am here to share my faves! You can thank me later.

First of all these Micellar cleansing wipes aka drunk wipes ;) are amazing. They are so gentle and really get the job done when it comes to removing your make up at night. You only need one wipe! These are my go to when I get home late and don't feel like doing the whole routine. Just grab one of these and you are good to go! They are also perfect for traveling or in your gym bag!

The facial cleansing oil is a new favorite of mine. I don't wash my face with soap. My skin is too dry and soap makes it even worse. I normally wash with jojoba oil but this my new best friend. I love the convenient pump bottle! It has coconut and argan oil in it so it leaves your skin dewy and amazing!

Oil of evening primrose has been a staple of mine for a long time. It has so many benefits... anti aging, acne prevention, great for the hair skin and nails, PMS, breast sensitivity, the list goes on! This one is a must have!

And finally the mango body butter... or really any of their body butters. They usually have fun seasonal scents. In the fall they even have a pumpkin one! I know.. so basic but don't act like you don't love it. This mango one is definitely a fave! It leaves my skin feeling so soft and I go to bed feeling like I am poolside in Maui!

Now go stock up! And don't feel bad about the cookie butter! We all do it! ;)

Friday Feature- The Nutrition Addiction

I am so excited to introduce you guys to this F word and avocado loving babe! Megan the creator of The Nutrition Addiction will soon be your go to girl for all things wellness! On her blog she is sharing everything from kitchen hacks and amazon obsessions to skinny cocktails! She is a total bombshell and keeps us all in check when it comes to making healthy choices. Trust me when I say that you need her in your life!

1. What inspired you to start a blog?

I always used to get asked constantly about what I ate, how I ate, what's healthy, what's not....and whenever I talked to people the common theme seemed to be that eating healthy was so complicated, such a foreign concept, took SO MUCH TIME, and had to involve kale. And I would be like, "guys!! I don't even like to cook!! I swear you can do this!!" So, when I very first started The Nutrition Addiction, it was all about how you can be totally hooked on eating well and living a healthy life without a whole lot of effort. My tagline was originally "recipes for people who hate to cook." It's grown and evolved, but that's where it started!

2. What motivates you to continue blogging?

The NA community! This message of living a healthy lifestyle without a whole lot of effort is something that has really resonated with a lot of people and the support is my reason for getting up in the morning. Even though I make most of my living through nutrition coaching, my heart is in writing and spreading my message to a much wider audience through the blog.

3. What is something as a blogger that has helped you grow your brand and blog?

Well, being consistent with posting certainly goes a long way. But being authentic is #1. I never, ever hold back and I'm not afraid to shout out my weaknesses and vulnerabilities (well, maybe I'm afraid sometimes, but I just do it anyway). When you meet me in person, nothing about me will surprise you - HA. And people can just sense that, ya know? Also paying very close attention to what my readers want from NA. One day I randomly started posting about my obsession with oils, and I found that people are just as interested in my beauty hacks as they are my nutrition advice. So, it was time to evolve!

5. Tell us what a day in the life of The Nutrition Addiction looks like?

I get up around 10 or 11. I'm a night owl and I NEED my 8 hours! I make Protein Coffee, chug a ton of water, catch up on Instagram and email, write for an hour or two, have lunch, then I'll go to the gym or do a F*ck Diets Project Workout (this is a boot camp that Kendalle Gidion and I run together) in my back yard. Then, I'll just start checking items off my list - that might be shooting photos, working on meal plans, meeting with my nutrition coaching clients, working on something for F*ck Diets, or working on another various project that I might have going on. I usually work until about 1 or 2 AM, then it's in bed either with a book or Netflix until I fall asleep. One or two nights/week is reserved for date night or cocktails w my girlfriends, and I'm totally known to pop my laptop up at a bar somewhere and work alone w a glass of wine.

6. Summer is quickly approaching, where will we find you on a Saturday afternoon?

I actually bartend at night on the weekends, so on a Saturday afternoon....I'm usually just relaxing! And probably doing a little blogging or catching up on work or grabbing brunch with my husband. Sunday is my Saturday, usually, and you can find me at a pool or on a patio somewhere. Or....just snuggling under the covers with my two pups, Reginald and Winifred.

7. What is one wellness tip you are obsessed with right now?

COLLAGEN! I've taken it for about a year and I've seen crazy results in my skin, hair, and nails. It's so good for your gut health, too. I'm even starting a collagen challenge group on Insta because I want everyone to start using it! It's sooooo good for you!

8. What are two of your go-to meals?

Ground turkey - rice - broccoli - avocado - lemon and lime  (eaten as a bowl!)
Scrambled eggs with a little rotisserie chicken over a Gluten-free English muffin spread with cream cheese
I eat both of these meals ALL the time.

And I should mention too, because I probably eat this every single day, that my favorite snack is gluten free pretzels (GF pretzels are WAY better than regular...seriously!) with Yogurt Ranch Dip

Megan and I decided this post would not be complete without one of her skinny cocktail recipes and this one is just to die for!

Frozé

Its national Rosé day!! Who even knew this was a thing. Isn't everyday National Rosé day?? Just kidding... but what a fun excuse for us to make this sassy Frozé recipe! It is such a fun twist on the already deish glass of Rosé! I have a feeling we will be making this all summer!

This recipe is super simple and just spices things up a bit. I made the basic recipe to start out with but my mind is going crazy with tons of fun add ins! Many more Frozé recipes to come!

All you do is freeze your Rosé in ice cube trays over night. Then toss them in the blender and add a splash of the leftover Rosé. Blend it up and tada! Frozé! How can something this cute be that simple? Let me know if you babes have any fun mix in ideas! I would love to try them!

I am totally obsessed with these Rosé ice cubes too! They kinda of look like rose quartz... so chic! I will for sure be keeping some of these in my freezer at all times to toss into my glass of Rosé to keep it cold!

Drink Frozé all day!

Friday Feature- Regan Rose

I am so excited to share this babe blogger with all of you! She is so real you wont be able to help but love her. She is the type of person that makes you feel safe, like oh its OK that life isn't always perfect and encourages us to learn to love ourselves for who we are. On her blog she shares her struggles as a stepmom and offers real advice! No holding back.. She is an inspiration to all!

And as a bonus her sense of style is like no other!! She has the best tips and tricks! Go check out her Instagram! She is truly #couplegoals #stepmomgoal #everythinggoals

1. What inspired you to start a blog?
Writing is a way to help me cope. When I first became a "step parent" I was feeling a lot of different emotions and I wasn't understanding most of them. I started to write a book actually, which I still might do but I figured a blog would help me reach more people my age who might be going through the same thing I am.

2. Are there any bloggers or influencers that inspire you? Yes! Erica of fashionlush.com reached out to me and told me she read my entire blog. Its amazing to see the people that I look up too read what I have to say and enjoy it. She's authentic and personable and that is what I hope to come across as.

3. What motivates you to continue blogging? Well, like I said before, it helps me cope with emotions that I'm feeling. But other than that I do it because every week there are a few readers who reach out to me with questions and situations that they have and are going through and I love that I am able to share my experiences with anyone who asks.

4. What is something as a blogger that has helped you grow your brand and blog? I always say that word of mouth is the best way to get your brand and name out there. I try to connect with everyone who reads my blog. If they like what I have to say or they found my advice helpful, they pass it along to their friends and so on. Other than that, its being consistent with my posts and with the aesthetic of my blog.

5. Tell us what a day in the life of Regan Rose looks like? I'll get up around 9 and make a quick breakfast. Sometimes I do yoga in my room or mediate for a few minutes. Then I get ready for work and do my whole beauty regimen which takes about an hour or two. I come home around five if I'm not going to Pilates and I will play with the kids, go on a bike ride, go to the park, play "store" and then clean my house, get the kids ready for bed and turn on The Bachelor or some cheesy reality TV.

6. Summer is quickly approaching, where will we find you on a Saturday afternoon? With the kids or on a staycation with Jake! We try to get as many "nights away" as we can when the kids are with their mom or grandparents. When we leave, he usually brings his camera (he's an amazing videographer) and we'll shoot a video or two and we'll end with a glass of wine.

Go check out her blog! Pour yourself a glass of wine first... once you start reading you wont be able to stop!
